Our veterans mission is built around practical progression: stability, support, training, employment and independence.
Leaving the Armed Forces can involve a major change in routine, responsibility, social network and identity. Many veterans transition successfully, while others may face difficulty finding suitable work, accommodation or a new sense of direction.
Hearts & Minds is intended to provide a practical bridge into civilian life, recognising both the challenges some veterans face and the considerable strengths they can bring to employers and communities.
Identify experience, transferable skills, ambitions and any immediate barriers to progression.
Where appropriate, connect individuals with suitable support, accommodation and specialist organisations.
Build on existing strengths with role-specific training, qualifications and practical preparation for civilian employment.
Create genuine routes into sustainable roles across the group, partners and wider industry.
The longer-term concept is a professionally managed community where accommodation sits alongside training, employment support, communal facilities and access to specialist services.
The objective would be progression rather than dependency: helping residents establish stability, move into work and eventually transition into independent accommodation.
We want to connect with employers, Armed Forces networks, training providers, housing partners and specialist support organisations.
